There are still hoppers in Boston

Jade: Hey Cayden, how are you? I hope your day is going well thus far.

Cayden Smith: I am doing good thanks for asking. I am excited to have the opportunity to be interviewed by you today.

Jade: Glad to hear this interview will not take long and thank you for your time.

Cayden Smith: No Problem

Jade: How long have you been playing Basketball?

Cayden Smith: Since I was 5 years old

Jade: What inspired you to play Basketball?

Cayden Smith: My family has always been a Basketball family. When I was younger, I played a lot of sports and everything was really fun to be, but Basketball really caught my eye.

Jade: What made Basketball standout more than any other sport? What made you feel like Basketball is the sport I want to dedicate all of my time to?

Cayden Smith: I had the most fun playing it I felt I was best at it. It was fun to see how Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and Stephen Curry could leave their game impact on others. The way you can just go out and play and leave an impact on somebody’s life that you don’t even know.

Jade: Who was more of an athlete in the family your mom or dad?

Cayden Smith: I would say my dad was more of an athlete, but my mom was the better athlete

Jade: Where do you want the game of basketball to take you? High School All American, McDonald's All American

Cayden Smith: I mean All American, McDonald’s All American, Jordan All American all of those are goals.

Jade: What would you like to do after college?

Cayden Smith: Whatever professional route could help me put food on my mom’s table and help me take care of my family that’s the best option.

Jade: What do you see yourself perusing after college if you don’t play in the NBA or Overseas?

Cayden Smith: I don’t know much about college degrees exactly but another route I would take would be like Sports Analysts stuff Shaq they do.

Jade: Who is your favorite basketball player?

Cayden Smith: Lebron James just because the way he impacts the game is just different from everybody else. He takes care of his body and what I really like about him is he is the best person you can meet off the court. He takes care of his family, he leads by example, and he’s just a well-rounded person.

Jade: What type of music do you like?

Cayden Smith: Rap: Lil Baby, NBA Youngboy rappers like that

Jade: Since this is Black History month, who in the black community has been your biggest influence?

Cayden Smith: That’s a good question. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks all guys like that. We wouldn’t be in the position we are in today without those guys.
